Ace Personnel is Seeking FT/PT Caregivers for Spring 2019

The burden of Canadian family caregivers is high. Family caregivers assist their loved ones with many functions that the latter cannot do on their own, including completing domestic chores, providing personal care, assisting with medication administration and offering emotional and social support. While family caregiving has considerable rewards, including allowing families to spend quality time together, it is physically exhausting, difficult to recover from, and fraught with emotional and financial burdens.

According to Statistics Canada, our aging population is only going to increase and the need for paid and well-trained caregiver professionals will become even greater. By 2030, it is estimated that seniors will account for 25% of the population in Canada. The millennial generation as well as Generation Y will bear the responsibility of caring for the elderly, the sick and our children as well as hold down full-time jobs.

Within the next ten years or so, the need for professionally trained caregivers will brings a huge employment opportunity to counterbalance other jobs lost due to changing times. While the physically demanding part of caregiver work can be automated, such as cooking, cleaning and lifting, the emotional and intellectual aspects of it will remain computer proof.

It is no secret that isolated adults die at considerably higher rates than their well-connected counterparts. Sympathetic caregiver can make all the difference for an otherwise isolated senior and can improve their quality of life by offering them companionship, their time, and assistance with chores they cannot do on their own. It is also worth noting that the emotional connection, which caregivers are called upon to provide, cannot be easily replicated by a robot nurse, making caregiver a necessity.

Spring is the Perfect Time for Caregiver Jobs | Vancouver, Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley

ACE Personnel is a family owned and operated service founded in 1977 by Diane Anderson (“Mrs. A”). It began as a home based business and has since been devoted to helping the local community with childcare and home care solutions. Mrs. A took great pride in the fact that she was able to help others through elderly care and nanny placements. She took time to get to know her each of her clients and as a result developed lasting relationships with many of them.
